Hirudinaria Manillensis a.k.a Asian medicinal leeches or buffalo leeches are found in paddy fields and swampy areas throughout Malaysia. There are five species of hirudinaria manillensis and mostly come with green or brown belly. The anticoagulants have been widely used for modern medicines especially for heart and coronary problems, surgery and cosmetics development.
